Today we went over to our neighbors house to celebrate their son's (Caden) second birthday. We've had play dates with Caden and his mom, Jerrae, in the past. Both Jerrae and I hope they'll end up to be close friends because we both love the idea that they live next door to each other are one week difference in age and that they look like they could be brothers. They have the same coloring - blond hair and blue eyes. Oftentimes at the park, from a distance, people will get them confused and think Luke is Caden or Caden is Luke. They are known as the 2 towheads in the neighborhood.
The party was fun! Luke ended up being the only other child there, due to the other kids getting sick. Jerrae was so thoughtful because she also included a gift for Luke so he'd have something to open while Caden was opening his presents. I had been a bit nervous about this (big surprise, me nervous?! :) ) because I wasn't sure how Luke would do while Caden was opening presents. Let's be honest, I'm jealous when I see other people openining presents and I don't get to! So I could only imagine how Luke, a toy loving 2 year old, would feel! But again, no reason to be nervous. I was so proud of my Lukie bear :) He did a great job and sat on my lap for most of the time.
We also let him have some cake and he ate the ENTIRE piece of cake! I couldn't believe it. The birthday boy only wanted a few bites. Luke ate the entire piece and was asking for more!! We had to cut him off.
